Colin helped us buy our forever home! My husband and I were first time homebuyers in this absolutely crazy and stressful market. Colin was by our side for almost a year and half while we searched and searched for the perfect home for us. He is incredibly professional, welcoming, thoughtful, organized, and responsive. He attended countless open houses with us and arranged so many private showings, sometimes on a moments notice because he did not want us to miss out on a potential home. When we finally entered escrow, his colleagues who assisted us were incredible and made the process seamless despite a few hiccups completely beyond Colins control. Met Colin at an Open house early in our search for our forever home. He gave us great advice right off the bat and he then guided through the 4-5 month long journey to our perfect place. He responded right away to every text message....and there were lots. "How about this place?", "Wait how about this place?" Always available and there when we needed him. The market is crazy right now and Colin supported us every step of the way.
Colin and Chelsea were the right team to help us sell and buy in this high demand marketplace. I really like how responsive they were. They were always available to answer any questions we might of had. Their knowledge about the market and professional advise helped us sell our place for over $100K of the asking price. They also were there when we were looking for a place to buy. They were patient with us and showed us allot of options in our price range and we actual found the perfect place for allot less than what we initially budgeted for. Even after we bought our place they were there to help make suggestions on things we might want to do and had a list of contractors that could helps us. I would highly recommend Colin and his team.
Colin and his Team recently helped me close on a place as a first time home buyer. I was pretty intimidated by the whole process and that is where having an experienced relator really helped. At every step of the buying process, he was there to help and provide direction, from suggesting a mortgage officer, to negotiating the price with the sellers agent and getting my offer accepted. After that, he made the escrow process as simple as possible, recommending inspectors, scheduling an appraisal, and helping to explain and review the piles of documents I'd have to sign. Colin was always accessible and willing to accompany me to an open houses, go over paperwork, or help with questions I had throughout the sale. I never felt uncomfortable or overwhelmed throughout the entire process.Even when Colin was off island, he was able to coordinate with members of his team to schedule a showing for me, and prepare an offer, all while technically on 'vacation'. That is the kind of dedication, I feel is above and beyond what you'd get from just any realtor.In the future, when I am ready to to sell or upgrade to a new place, I will definitely be using Colin as my realtor and have already recommended him to friends who are looking.
We met Colin Lee at the Better Homes booth at Hawaii Convention Center back in 2018. From there we exchanged information and set up an appointment at the Kahala office to get an introduction to home buying. He was highly informative and really nice. We kept him in mind since then and gave him a buzz when we were ready to enter the market - fast forward to 2021. Colin was very resourceful and utilized many new technologies to make the process simple for us. With his team, he shared and made intuitive the vast amount of information for us first time home buyers. He was able to find us homes that met our lifestyle. He and his team were awesome! They were prompt, professional and personable. Their knowledge was helpful and they made all this information simple for me and my wife to understand. It was incredible working with them to get us into a home during this challenging market. We really appreciate them for their efforts to make it happen and we hope to work with them again on our next future investment. Team Lee and all those they work with were good to work with. Needless to say me and my wife are happy customers.
We were very pleased with Colin's team's professionalism and competence in advertising, staging, and managing the selling process. This was a complex process, but he and his team made it straightforward and successful.
Colin is THE man. He has the experience and skills to make your real estate dreams come true. I met Colin back in 2015 through a CPA professional association. Upon learning that he was a realtor, I made a comment about how I wanted to own a home but didn't think I could afford one. Colin followed up with me the next business day and just mentioned that he could go over the process with me and see what we're working with and go from there. A few months later...I was a first time homeowner that was paying less with my monthly mortgage than I was paying for rent. Fast forward 5 years. Colin kept in touch with me through out the years by giving me a pie for Thanksgiving and Christmas. After living with my boyfriend for three years (who was paying rent for his apartment), when Colin was dropping off the Christmas pie, I mentioned that we were considering buying a place but weren't sure we could find a place that met all of our "must have" criteria and would be affordable. Plus, I barely could remember the home buying process and needed a refresher. Once again, Colin listened and addressed these concerns promptly. He set up a meeting for us to discuss the home buying process and started helping us look for properties. Immediately after this meeting, my boyfriend and I started looking and whenever something caught our eye, we texted Colin, who would set up a showing ASAP. The market was super competitive for buyers since interest rates are so low. There were a few properties we couldn't even see because they were in escrow in less than a day on the market. While this was disheartening, we knew what we were going into since Colin was very realistic with us. He warned us that this would be tough, but its doable and he would be with us every step of the way. What we really appreciated about Colin was how he remembered and cared about what we wanted in our home. For example, we told him that we wanted to have a German Shepherd one day, so when looking at apartments, one of the first things Colin asked about, without prompting, was the pet policy. We went to about 4 different showings before we saw our dream apartment. It met all the "need to have" criteria and we could afford the monthly payments. We knew we had to take the shot and put in an offer. Colin prepared the offer the next morning and walked us through the document and the strategies he would use to get the offer accepted. He also went over the risks with this property (due to COVID, the seller couldn't ask the current renters to leave) and the difficulties with trying to get the offer accepted (i.e. multiple offers, an offer with an amount much higher than asking and we can't counter). The next few days were a tough waiting game. We had many calls with Colin as he heard back from the seller. They received multiple offers. The seller countered our offer. We accepted the counter... Three days after we made an offer, Colin called and told us...we are now in escrow. I was ecstatic. The next 46 days went by in a blur. Colin, as promised, was with us every step of the way. He and his fantastic team made sure we met every condition and due date stated in the offer. He worked with our loan officer to ensure that we were on track to close on time. As soon as he heard we would need more time to close due to the loan, his team was on it to submit the necessary documents to extend. If I had a question, I could call or text him and he would promptly respond. When we had to review all of the condo documents, he set up a call so that he could go through each document so that we understood what each document was telling us and what we were signing off on. Even after the close, I still called Colin with questions about the home exemption for real property taxes. We couldn't have got our dream home without the services and support from Colin and his team. We are forever grateful for them. Anyone looking to buy or sell their real property, I highly recommend Colin Lee.
I contacted another well-known realtor in the area and she never even replied to my email. Colin however texted me within minutes of me submitting my initial inquiry. At our initial meeting at the Kapolei office, Colin walked us through the process, provided comps to look at and introduced us to his team. We knew from that point wed found the partner we needed to sell our home.Between Colin and Kim, their communication was great. They presented everything clearly, not assuming we understood industry speak, so we were able to make the best decision at each opportunity. Due to having tenants in the unit and an eviction moratorium in place, this was an unusual sale process and really presented some challenges in showing the unit and getting access to it. Once we had a buyer, the transaction moved nearly at light-speed.
