Im leaving this review from a Verified Zillow account regarding our experience with Ms. Christy Venable in our search for a home in Pensacola, FL. Ms. Venable primarily communicated with my S/O regarding some homes for sale in Pensacola, and we noted that she was not very detailed in her communication and seemed less knowledgeable on details regarding homes we had discussed than we would have liked, especially considering that she had stated she grew up in Pensacola and knew the area well. Ms. Venable was also not very quick to respond to some basic inquiries inquiries regarding loans. We believe faster response times, as well as having a greater understanding of the properties you are showing would benefit clients more.

I wouldnt recommend Christy to a single prospective homebuyer after my experience with her. Christy was not only extremely unprofessional; I was forced to fire her as my agent and reported her to management as a result of her behavior and lack of professionalism. Christy and I corresponded regarding houses directly listed on both Zillow and Hubzu. Based on our correspondence (which I fortunately saved copies of), I had initially discovered a house that caught my interest on a popular real estate website (Hubzu) and consulted with Christy directly upon coming across the house. Not only did I inform her that I was interested in the property; I *immediately disclosed to her that this particular house was listed on Hubzu, as I had many questions that needed answered regarding this site. (My correspondence with Christy regarding Hubzu contains timestamps to corroborate these claims.) Christy directly responded to these text messages stating that she was not familiar with Hubzu, which I found to be strange as it is such a popular real estate website. (However, her response served as confirmation that she did, in fact, receive my texts in a timely manner, as she has since denied that I disclosed this information.) I asked questions regarding the actual listing, as well as the starting bid and knew that these were not factors I expected Christy to be in control of. I also fully realized that I was in control of the bidding price I set. I promptly sent Christy all corresponding screenshots associated with the listing, specifically so Christy could review the fine print and all other pertinent details to assist. Whereas she informed me of certain details (ghost bidding and other snippets of information) of which I had already been aware, I noticed there were CRUCIAL deadlines which Christy missed/overlooked within the fine print I had provided to her, which - had I not personally caught - would have resulted in me losing the house to another buyer. (I have copies of these conversations, as well.) After this, Christy ordered a survey on my behalf, although - even though I agreed a survey was needed - I explicitly expressed to her over the phone that I wanted to shop around for prices, which I did not have the opportunity to do, as she had taken it upon herself to order one before I could do so. She did not respect my request to allow me time to review pricing before she placed an order that was to come out of my own personal funds. As a result, I did not feel I should have had to pay for this survey, as I had not yet agreed to *any price and wasnt given the opportunity to compare pricing. As if this wasnt enough, soon after, Christy called me one day while I was at the hospital... I told her I couldnt get to her at the moment (but planned to respond in an hour, as I didnt have much longer before I left); instead of responding rationally, she became hostile since I couldnt provide an adequate response to her and told me to no longer text her (only email). (She has since stated that she wasnt aware I was at the hospital; however, when a client responds stating he/she cant respond at the moment, this should warrant a more appropriate, mature response from a real estate professional, *regardless of the reason for the (minor) delay of one hour.) Additionally, I should not have to disclose my personal health status/whereabouts to my realtor in order to elicit a mature, rational response. I immediately told Christy that she was relieved of her services and contacted her management to report her behavior. It was also determined by her management - (they agreed) - that I should not have to pay the survey fee considering the circumstances regarding our conversations. Christy took no responsibility for her actions. As a result of this entire experience, I left honest feedback regarding our transaction on her Facebook business profile, and she blocked my profile so she could maintain her ratings. (An agent can control/eliminate any/all negative reviews on Facebook by simply blocking your profile, allowing him/her to display only 5-star reviews for the entirety of their career, although this is unethical and not beneficial in any way to prospective homebuyers.) As a result, I am sharing my experience with Christy here so it can be viewed by anyone considering working with Christy in the future. As a Veteran, I would never consider Christys behavior as ethical or appropriate in any way (including blocking my profile on Facebook to eliminate my review, rather than addressing it professionally). Not respectable in the least. (Please note, this review required a property address; this is one of the properties we discussed.)

I couldnt have asked for anyone better to work with, and I would highly recommend Christy as an experienced professional who will minimize your stress of buying or selling a home. Christy did an amazing job helping me to sell my house and made the whole process as easy as possible for me. She is very easy to work with, has great connections, provided knowledgeable input and recommendations every step of the way, and was willing to help in any way she could. Thanks to her trustworthiness and expertise, I was able to sell my house completely remotely while she handled pretty much everything. She even returned rented utility equipment for me as a courtesy because I could not physically be at the house. In addition to coordinating with all contractors, landscapers, and cleaners, Christy kept me updated on any changes and kindly ran all the numbers regularly to give me an accurate payout amount. She was able to negotiate with contractors to roll repairs and other costs into the closing so that I wouldnt have to pay out of pocket for anything. She was extremely accommodating and flexible for my convenience, yet organized and efficient to keep things on track for closing. Overall it was a pleasure to work with Christy and I have no complaints at all.

Extremely helpful in the home buying process. I was a first time home buyer and could not have asked for a better realtor. She was accommodating and went above and beyond to help me.

Christy did a great job with recommending houses within our range of looking. Once we found one we had a good vibe with, the process started and was smooth start to finish. Any questions asked were answered with great detail and in a timely manner, before we knew it we had signed the closing papers with her help all along the way. I plan on recommending her to anyone I know buying or selling a home.
