About Christy Gustin

I'm a full-time realtor with great attention to details. I also believe in creating wealth through real estate and, as a former teacher and stock broker, I enjoy teaching others about how to do it. I believe in getting the extra education of non-required realtor certifications and designations so that I can better help my clients. I am licensed in both Mobile AND Baldwin counties so as to better advertise my listings and help my buyers. Before real estate, I was the top 4 in sales for the Southeast -Waste Pro waste management, as well as I also won the Triple Crown Award from Edward Jones as a financial advisor. Prior to that, I was a mom to four children who are now 26, 23, 20, & 17. During that time, I enjoyed volunteering for area non-profits such as the Junior League of Mobile and Mobile Historic Development Commission. I have a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Southern Mississippi. I'm originally from Ocean Springs, Mississippi. After years of friends sending me their friends for advice about where to live, if they should sell their home, or if a house was a good investment, as well as several For Sale By Owner properties that I marketed myself and sold, I decided to make my hobby my full time job. Since 2015, I've joined forces with Bellator Real Estate, which is now the top selling company in the Greater Mobile Area and is the largest company in the area representing Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. My husband and I have lived here for 24+ years; he's the vp for the commercial construction company Dunn Building. Together, we've renovated or built many houses (personal and investment) over 28 years. With various renovations featured in Mobile Bay magazine, as well as two homes featured in the Mobile Press Register's "Cool Spaces", I can help with decisions related to renovating historic homes or costs of any type of upgrade. I love helping others with the most important investment of their lives, buying or selling on both sides of the Mobile Bay area. We moved to AL from GA and only had 30 days to find a house. Christy showed us all around Mobile so that we had a good idea of what each neighborhood was like. We had to make a quick second trip and she rearranged her schedule to meet with us to show us the Daphne area. Since we were in GA, she had to handle everything for us on this end. She came to the house and was present during the inspection. She advised us on everything as it came up since we had never lived in AL before and some of the customs and requirements were different from those we had encountered before. She also went to bat for us during all negotiations to make sure our interests were considered and kept us well informed along the way - which can be confusing when talking to us both together and separately over the phone. We would highly recommend her to anyone needing a realtor in the Mobile area.

I decided to buy a second home in Mobile. Needless to say buying a home 2500 miles away basically sight unseen can be very challenging, unless you have someone like Christy, whom I felt had as much invested as we did in buying the property. We got intensive video walk throughs of both the inside and outside of the house., She found us a very good lender in Mobile, referred us to a good home inspector, a yard maintenance guy, found us a fantastic painter for the exterior and was a wealth of information about the climate impact on the homes, which varies vastly from California. In a nutshell Christy is AWESOME. I know for a fact we wouldn't have been able to close so quickly if it wasn't for her having our backs. Not to mention the red carpet treatment she gave us once we got to Mobile, including a four hour driving tour of the different neighborhoods in Mobile, complete with history and some colorful antidotes. I highly recommend her whether you are from out of state or from Mobile. I will 100% work with her again with my next house.
