Community Involvement

We have partnered with Friends For Life Animal Shelter for that past few years. I was introduced to Friends For Life animal shelter by a couple of friends who had adopted from thereabout 7 years ago. Since then, I started investigating and learning more about what they do and what they were all about. We do have a rescue Black Lab, so I am quite passionate about the need for these types of charities. I must admit, I was blown away at how much they do not only for animals but also the community around them. They save animals regardless of their origin, breed, age, or condition. Many shelters refuse strays, animals from private citizens, or even entire breeds. Instead, they are guided by a simple principle: Every Animal Matters. They believe that no shelter is an island. They lean on our community to fuel their work. The success of that effort set an example for future disaster planning. During COVID-19, they provided a Drive-Thru Clinic + Pet Food Bank. The only organization in the city offering this service that gets free vaccinations, vet exams, preventatives, and pet food to those struggling to care for their animal family members. To continue their great work they need our help with sponsorships and donations to fund their programs.
