What clients say about this agent....
Chris did a fantastic job helping us find the ideal lot for us to build a home in Crested Butte. We could not be more pleased. On one hand there is the ?real estate? component to what he did? which is great experience, professionalism and market insight. However, that is an incomplete description of what Chris did for us. He was (and is) a valued and well-connected advisor. He connected us with our legal representation, a well testing company, a soil testing company and an architecture firm. Chris really went the extra mile for us. As an example, the day before the well testing company was to perform water tests, CB was hit with an snow storm, which blocked access to the well. Chris knew the timing of this test was important and he drove to the lot and hand shoveled an area so the testing company could gain access to the well. Exceptional! We could not be more pleased to recommend Chris to anyone buying or selling property in CB.
Chris represented us in buying a home in Crested Butte. He was especially helpful to me and my husband because we conducted all of the process long distance. We felt such confidence knowing that Chris was actually in CB, not only guiding us but personally taking care of every detail that would have otherwise required us to physically be there. His knowledge and experience in Crested Butte eased any stress we may have had during the complicated process of purchasing a home in Colorado while living in Texas. Chris was the BEST!!
Chris will always have our trust, respect, loyalty, and gratitude. At every chance he went above and beyond any normal agent expectations. Having done dozens of real estate transactions in the past, I can say with confidence that Chris is among the very best of the best in any market. In 2020 he helped us acquire a townhome with the intention of staying there for a long time. We were pleasantly surprised by an addition to our family and decided to move back to Austin where we would be closer to family. Chris supported our sale preparation end-to-end including helping us identify the exact renovations to make, securing rock-solid contractor and design partnerships, and even helping oversee the work as it was being done. As a cherry on top, we had an issue on our side that left us with a 300 pound piece of exercise equipment in the home on closing day. We were 950 miles away and it would have been more than a little difficult to handle such a short timeframe. Chris didn?t balk for an instant and simply found some folks to help, put in the back of his truck, and within two hours found a happy home for it. Chris lives this ethos of service in a profound way. On a final note: the financial aspect of real estate is almost always important for any buyer or seller. In our case, we made exactly the right renovations with his help and went under contract at a considerable gain to us in just a day. With Chris, service meets expertise and financial acumen. He is the ultimate Crested Butte Agent.
Chris Kopf If you are not using Chris Kopf for your real estate needs in Crested Butte, you are making a mistake. The name Chris Kopf is synonymous with Crested Butte real estate and for good reason. Besides being an absolute professional in everything you would expect a real estate agent to be good at, Chris knows everything about, and more importantly, everyone in Crested Butte. When we were selling our condo, he was able to find the perfect buyer, not as much through the usual channels (MLS, realty websites, etc) but through his personal contacts and intimate knowledge of the town and its people. Once the buyer was identified, Chris handled every aspect of the transaction (price, inspections, scheduling, closing details, etc) absolutely seamlessly. We couldn?t be happier with our experience working with Chris. So I?ll say it again, if you?re not using Chris Kopf for your real estate needs in Crested Butte, you are making a mistake!
We met Chris years ago and have stayed in touch all those years until the perfect property for us popped up on one of Chris?s helpful email alerts. Chris called me back quickly, we discussed strategy, and he ran over to the place to get us on a FaceTime video tour. We made an offer that day and closed a month later. There were expected hiccups along the way, but Chris?s experience and calm approach helped us navigate through to a successful purchase. Thanks Chris!
Chris Kopf is a very experienced and professional realtor. He helped us navigate a plat discrepancy that was not a quick and easy fix. He was always very available to us and made a fairly complex transaction go along nicely. Since we are out of state buyers he was willing to help us in any way which made the experience easy and gave me a lot of confidence in making and working through the deal. He gave us a book he published about finding your dream Mountain Home which was very helpful! We can?t say enough great things about Chris and his integrity and honesty. Thanks Chris. We sold our home in Crested Butte in the summer of 2020. We could have, and maybe should have, listed it ourselves as we had done in the past successfully, as any home in any condition (ours was a 10 of 10) sold quickly. I digress... Chris has good knowledge of the entire CB area, but a lot of agents do. Things got sideways when the new owners talked their agent (or the other way around?) into buying some of our existing furniture. It quickly devolved into nit-picky negotiations over used furniture. It seemed the other agent ran roughshod over the process. To give Chris some benefit of the doubt, we felt he had taken on too much business at the time (as did most agents, contractors, architects, etc.) and we felt like one of many vs. having a dedicated agent. Recomend? Yeah, why not. Check around with other top agents? Yes. Sell used furniture? Make sure the process is clearly defined, but best to leave that up to furniture sales people.
Chris was super helpful and productive in our buying experience. From showing us houses and weighing the pros and cons of each place to the offer and then the transactional (detailed) process of closing on the house. I highly recommend Chris.
We could not have asked for a better real estate professional to help us purchase a home in Crested Butte. We tried to purchase a property during the ultimate sellers market; we made offers on property after property but didnt succeed in securing a contract until offer number seven. Chris deep knowledge of the market, including his extensive experience as a sellers agent, helped us refine our search criteria and the nuances of our offers, ensuring that we submitted competitive offers while avoiding paying too much. This process ultimately resulted in a contract on the home we now own and love, purchased at a fair price. Chris never grew impatient with our process and he was always a steady, reliable partner throughout our search. He is a pleasure to work with and his deep roots in the community meant that he was able to recommend superb professionals for the loan, appraisal, inspection, and more. He radiates love of Crested Butte and we really appreciate that he gives back to the community through his many volunteer activities, including organizing the Big Duck rubber duck charity race and hosting a fundraising event for the venerable and dynamic Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory (RMBL). There is no question who we will partner with on any future real estate transactions in Crested Butte!
I met Chris many years ago while sitting on a bench & eating ice cream outside Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory. During this casual encounter I liked him immediately & kept him in mind as a future realtor. After 20 years in the valley when we finally decided to sell we selected him over several other candidates. The reason was because he was very knowledgeable about the market and presented a well organized marketing plan. We were very happy with Chris & would highly recommend him.
