1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
The sooner you contact me, the more impact I can have with helping you get the best possible home for the least amount of money. Ideally I talk with my buying clients about six months prior to when they would like to be in their new home.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Planning is everything. There is more than one way to sell a home and my goal is to create the right sales strategy to help my selling clients reach their goals and sell for the maximum price. Ideally I talk with my selling clients about six months prior to when they would like to put their home on the market. One example is pictures. The marketing is so critical to getting the most for a home that the pictures need to be perfect. If someone is planning on selling in the winter or early spring, we need to take our pictures in the Fall, no later than about October 31st, to ensure we have beautiful marketing pictures with green grass and leaves on the trees. Pictures capture emotion and emotion is what sells homes. We need the best possible pictures to make the most of the sale.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
Approaching two decades in real estate, I have worked with every type of client from first time home buyers and luxury home buyers to first time sellers and experienced sellers. I really enjoy what I do and the impact I can have by helping clients in all different stages of life.
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I recently saved a client $24,000 in taxes by changing his closing date by 1 day when I sold his home! One of the most important things I talk about with clients is finance - I have a big impact in clients lives by helping them think about the personal finance opportunities, and risks, that are in play when buying or selling a home.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I love what I do! I left the Navy in 2006 and wanted to own my own business. I studied real estate for 10 years before starting my brokerage and enjoy the many different disciplines used in real estate. Contracts, negotiating, finance, taxes, wealth management, and more. I'm able to have incredible impact on my clients' lives by helping them structure their home purchases and sales in the best possible way.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
My education level, experience, and proven track record of performance delivers far superior results for my clients. I often tell people "you won't know you have the wrong agent until its too late so spend a little time researching your agent to make sure you pick the best one." Life is tough, but its tougher without a great real estate agent. Buying or selling a home is huge financial transaction that has significant life impact impact in both the short and long term. The agent you choose should not only help you buy or sell a home but also know how to save and make you money with your home since its your largest single investment.
