I don't consider myself to be a "lucky" person (hence, I don't play the lottery ... and expect to not win the random drawing at the office Christmas party). BUT, this is one case where I would say that I was VERY lucky - and it all happened when I clicked on "I'm Interested" icon on the first Zillow property that piqued my interest enough to wade into the quagmire of real estate. Maybe "quagmire" is too harsh, as Zillow is a godsend when it comes to sorting through the clutter. My luck began with Lexi's quick response (I'm so glad the computer god matched me with her); and after some introductions, she made it her mission to (1) understand what I was looking for, (2) refine the parameters iteratively and probe on any "deal-breakers" so we don't waste her and my time, and (3) present properties that met those parameters.As we looked at properties it was comforting to be with Lexi because of her insights and expertise (and wonderful sense of humor!). But I also felt the strength of her advocacy when offers were made (and we made quite a few offers) until the final purchase was landed. Her kindness and professionalism continued through to the very end with hugs and handshakes (and writer's cramp) at the closing table.While I consider myself to be well educated and savvy, I am so glad that my path crossed with Lexi's -- as I would not have wanted to pursue this home-buying adventure on my own.
