My wife and I were very nervous about approaching any agent when we finally decided we wanted to buy a new house in late January of 2021. I was tasked with selecting one and so I did what most people probably do, I initiated a google search and looked for the ones with the best ratings online. I saw that Bev & Co. House of Brokers Realty, Inc. had great ratings and I also remembered seeing many Bev & Co. For Sale signs on many of my walking excursions around my neighborhood. So I narrowed down my top to choices for a potential real estate agent and sent an email query to both of them. I was truly impressed when within minutes I got a phone call from Cheryl Maupin introducing herself and asking me questions about what my wife and I were interested in terms of a new house, and she was very polite and very respectful and answered all of the questions we had going forward in the process. We were sold on the spot that Cheryl was the perfect agent for us and had to turn down the other agent who responded after Cheryl did. Cheryls promptness is one of her greatest attributes. She was always checking in on us even when there were not a lot of options to our liking in those cold winter months, but she kept the line of communication open, which meant a lot to us because it made us feel like we were truly valued and not just run of the mill customers. Cheryl was also great with getting in touch with other agents and the whole team at Bev & Co. really made our time buying and selling a breeze because they communicated our needs to others and saved us the hassle of trying to wrangle up painters, flooring, handymen, etc. Being incredibly shy ourselves, it was nice having Cheryl take the lead on so many areas of need and getting the ball rolling. And with her having nine years experience in the business, she has fostered productive relationships with other agents and that helped us as well because she is highly respected by other professionals in her field. I remember looking at a house that was good but not great, and Cheryl made a note about what we liked and didnt like about the house so she could alter the search to fit our somewhat changing parameters. My wife and I were worried that we may end up being a pain in the you know what, but Cheryl never seemed to mind our indecisiveness. There is a really friendly manner about her that helped put us at ease, and she was always confident in telling us that we were going to find a great place. And she was right! We love our new home and Cheryl was instrumental in our purchase of our new home. She even got a handyman out there on the day of closing when she noticed one of the back doors wasnt latching properly. And she directed the same determined and helpful qualities in our new house purchase towards the selling of our condo. Again, she was very confident about what we needed to do to sell quickly and she was again proven right. Shes smart, hardworking, patient, kind, aggressive, and also has a cool calm about her. My wife and I do not have a single regret with making Cheryl our agent. I am glad I emailed her back in January because I know we got the best agent in all of Columbia. Hands down. We probably wont be moving again because Cheryl helped us find our forever home, but if for some strange reason we do, you better believe I will be reaching out to Cheryl to once again be our stellar agent.

Our work with Cheryl spans over a significant amount of time, all of it due to our own struggles and troubles.
