She has donated her time and efforts to a variety of non-profit organizations in the communities where she has lived and worked. Served three years on the Selection Committee for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's Man & Woman of the Year Campaign, which for those same 3 years, grabbed the National fundraising title.? Made several guest appearances for charity including an appearance with Super Bowl Champion Ricky Ervins at Cheers for Children at the Sports Club LA, at the Ritz Carlton Hotel. She also made a special appearance with Redskin Wide Receiver Rod Gardner for the Rod Gardner Foundation Benefit in Bethesda, Md. Ms. Eckert was named to the Washington Symphony Orchestra's Board of Directors President's Council. One of Ms. Eckert's projects for the WSO, was the organization of the Washington Symphony Orchestra's Annual Gala celebration. Served as Development Director for M.A.G.N.U.M. A National Understanding for Migraineurs,?a non-profit health care public education organization conceived in 1993 and incorporated in 1994 to bring public and government awareness to the medical seriousness of the migraine disease.? ? ?
