I have been a Licensed Realtor for the past 20 years. I have held Real Estate License in the states of Florida, New York and Pennsylvania. However, my heart is here in Florida where I was born and raised. I wanted to share with you some of the reasons I love what I do. To begin with. I love people. Being able to share in life changing experiences with others, has been a very satisfying career for me. The feeling that comes from meeting with that young couple, that has been dreaming of buying their first home. I get to have the honor of assisting them in finding that special home to call their own, maybe even help decide which room would make the perfect nursery for the first baby. I get the privilege of walking them through this exciting and sometimes frightening process. Then comes the day, I get to hand them the key to their new home. Yes, that is why I love what I do. The couple that has raised all their children and now needs to downsize, so they can enjoy their Golden Years. Yes, I am honored to help them find the home to enjoy this stage of their lives in. They may even want this new home to have the perfect front porch for that matching pair of rocking chairs. Yes, that is why I love what I do. You may ask, what about the house they raised their children in, with all the cherished memories. Yes, I will be honored to find the family that needs a larger home to accommodate their growing family. Then this beloved home will have a new family to make memories all their own in. We were trying to sell our house, and after looking at comparable properties online, I thought we should list it for about $120k and hopefully get $100k. The first realtor I talked to (we had used her to buy our new house and she was highly recommended by several friends) pointed out every negative she could find with our property and hesitantly suggested listing it for $89k, though she thought that may even be too high. I was extremely disappointed and decided to look for a second opinion. I found Carolyn online and she came out soon after to look at our property. She pointed out the positives and negatives and said if I was willing to list it for $119, we could probably sell it fairly quickly (I was thrilled as I hadnt told her my opinion before hearing hers). She kept me updated whenever people came to look at it, suggested a reasonable price drop when interest started waning, and we sold it after about three months for $105k. I will definitely recommend her to friends and use her services again if we decide to move in future.
