ZillowVERIFIEDMy partner and I were lucky enough to work with Carmen and her team as first-time home buyers. It goes without saying that we would not have been as successful in this turbulent market without them, but it may not be overstating it to say that we may also not have survived this process!Out of all of the realtors we researched and interviewed, Carmen simply blew us away with her expertise, approach and attitude. She asked incisive and pointed questions to figure out what we were looking for, showed infinite patience with our questions, and developed a comprehensive plan to pursue both "starter homes" and "forever homes" in varying parts of the area. She set up an "orientation tour" and showed us several homes that we were interested in across the entire county (I think seven in one afternoon, in addition to two open houses we went to alone). When a new home of interest came on the market later in the week, Carmen made sure we could see it right away (even though she herself was out of town due to a family situation), scheduled an immediate but comprehensive pre-inspection before the offer deadline, helped us understand the disclosures and other considerations as to whether we should submit an offer. Once we decided to move on the house, she helped us develop an attractive offer. She stayed up late with us past 10 PM as the sellers considered multiple offers and eventually selected ours!Once our offer was selected, Carmen's experience shined through, working with us and our lender to ensure that we were ready for a very quick close in less than a month. She and her team helped us understand all of the documentation and made us comfortable with that turnaround. When we found that the (new) refrigerator wasn't working at walkthrough, Carmen worked with her realtor counterpart to ensure that a solution was reached and the refrigerator was repaired/replaced. When we were unavailable, Carmen showed up to our house and monitored the delivery and installation, keeping us in the loop the entire time. Once we scheduled the movers and moved in, she continues to check on us and offering tips and good cheer.We could not be happier with our selection of Carmen and her team, and with our new home. While we primarily worked with Carmen directly as her client, special appreciation goes to Michelle and Laura for stepping in and showing us homes when Carmen had to leave town at the last minute, and to Heather and Isabel for being responsive and patient with all of the process and documentation. While we intend to stay in this house for a very long time, if we ever have any realtor needs, Carmen will be our first call. She should be yours, too!
