Carlyn Lowery has been my go to real estate agent for 11 years now. Originally she was recommended to me by my Independent Financial Advisor. I am a residential and investment property owner. Recently Carlyn led the sale of my ancient Baltimore investment property as a 1031 exchange. The sale went quickly and smoothly. During the process I was in Asia. Carlyn successfully kept me up to date with the process and made negotiation recommendations that saved me money.Once we closed on the sale I had 45 days to locate a new investment property and 120 days to close on the new place. There are a lot of financial factors to consider in a 1031 and the people Carlyn suggested I contact for assistance were efficient, competent and friendly. I used a lender, title company, appraiser, and 1031 lawyer that she recommended. We located a townhouse to purchase in Anne Arundel County and closed on the property in 43 days. During the process Carlyn advice saved me money on the purchase price, & closing costs. She also was a great agent for aEURoemeaEUR?, the seller agreed to do many upgrades to the new property that saved me time and money.All through these procedures Carlyn was encouraging and creative. We certainly had a few tiny obstacles to overcome; each obstacle was overcome. I was a little bit nervous and wasn't sure what to expect with the home buying process but Carlyn made sure everything went smoothly and with little stress. What I liked most about Carlyn is that she's NOT pushy and NEVER made me feel like I had to buy any house that I looked at. She was always working for me and looking out for my best interest.She pays attention to details:Several days before closing my mortgage lender (someone I chose myself - not the one Carlyn recommended) had calculated sent me over how much I needed to wire and how much to bring to closing. Everything looked fine to me and you'd think the lender would double and triple check everything. They had a small mistake in their calculations which might have affected my closing date. However, Carlyn caught the mistake and informed me of it, so I contacted the lender and they were able to fix it and I was able to close as scheduled.The closing was a breeze:Thanks to Carlyn closing was a breeze. I'm pretty organized and had all my ducks in a row, I was able to close in about 30 days. The whole process from beginning to end couldnt have gone any smoother. Carlyn was there at inspections, she was there with the walkthrough, negotiation, even helping me late one Friday night to put in my offer that was accepted. Carlyn's overall quality of service was stellar. I can't think of any other experience that I've had where I walked away feeling completely satisfied.
