1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Pay off major debts, determine how much house you can afford, save a down payment and closing costs (although there are loans you can obtain with little or no money down, and you can get sellers assistance on closing costs, having money saved could help offset some of the different costs that you may run into when first moving into your new home).
Get preapproved for a loan, ask your Realtor for recommendations if you are unsure of the company you want to work with when obtaining your loan. Find a home for sale in your price range, research neighborhoods for the best fit. Make a Competitive Offer (That’s Within Your Budget!) Prepare for Closing.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Keep the home clutter-free and smelling nice. My mentor told me years ago, that if a home doesn't look good, smell good, and feel good, it will be much harder to sell. Keep the home accessible to potential homebuyers (homes that are only available certain days or times can lose out on potential buyers).
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
I have worked with buyers, first time home buyers, sellers, short sale clients, relocation clients, and distressed property buyers.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I actually became interested in the industry due to my own poor experience with a Realtor during my home buying process. The second agent I found was everything I could hope for, she got me started in the business and to this day is not only my mentor but my friend.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I have additional training in foreclosure and Short sales. I can assist clients through the short sale process to prevent defaulting on their loan, keeping the bank from foreclosing on their home.
