Darlene is someone you need to have on your side when buying a house. She is extremely thorough, honest, and helpful. Of all the realtors I have worked with, she is by far the best and works to find what is best for you. I was buying from out of the state and she made multiple trips out to the house to make sure everything was in order and answered all my questions promptly and honestly. My partner and I started our home search with a gentleman who was referred by a family member. Unfortunately, his availability didn't align with ours and our personalities clashed a bit. Eager to view a listing when that realtor wasn't available, I reached out via Zillow to schedule a viewing, and, serendipitously, we were connected to Monica Chang!Monica made herself available for a remote viewing the following day, kept me updated the listing, and let us know about the offer deadlines all before I heard back from my original agent. We gladly made the switch! Although that listing didn't work out, Monica was more than willing to work with us outside of her normal area and helped us purchase in Oakland.The search for our home was overwhelming, confusing, and foreign, but Monica did her absolute best to guide us through our options, explain some of the basics to us, was responsive, and flexible with her availability. At times, she even served as a bit of a therapist, listening to me vent about the process. I always felt comfortable asking Monica clarifying questions because she exudes patience and warmth while also balancing realistic expectations.
