ZillowVERIFIEDCami?s office helped me to buy a home, and assisted me to sell my condo. She charged me a $595 ?compensation fee? in addition to the 6% commission for selling my condo. This is equal to a 6.3% total commission. It is my fault for not noticing the ?compensation fee? until the closing date. When she explained the listing agreement contract to me, I clearly remember she saying about the 6% but I do not remember anything about the extra $595. However, I signed and it is my fault for not reading about the extra fee. Other realtors reduce your fees when you buy and sell with them. I wish I had feedback after showings, but I did not have them. As a buyer, I was advised to pay more on the asking price, but as a seller, I was advised to accept an offer for less of the asking price.
