Unfortunately, we'd had it rented almost all that time and hadn't seen it for about ten years. We needed to sell it to be able to buy a property in Central California, which we had in escrow. To say that our place had fallen into disrepair was an understatement. Brian jumped into the mess with carpenters, and a raft of repairmen, painters, window fixers, cleaners and stagers.
