We have been so lucky to work with Brenda to buy two houses and sell one. I cannot think of a better person to go with. Particularly with our most recent sale, there were a lot of challenges on the buyers end. Brenda constantly went above and beyond to ensure we were taken care of, even doing the job of the other realtor when needed. Shes extremely flexible and communicative when things come up. You can tell she genuinely cares about you. It can be really overwhelming to buy and sell homes. Having someone as knowledgeable as Brenda in your corner is the best thing you could do. I would highly recommend her and I know well be using her again too.

Brenda was the best Realtor Ive ever had. She has her clients best interest in mind. She will have your back and not let you get steamrolled by any outside party. While having the loan processor slow-roll my entire loan process Brenda spent several hours harassing them until she got them on the phone and forced them to conference call me and explain what was happening. I recommend listening to her insight and while buying a home is one of the most stressful moments of your life you can take solace knowing you got a great Realtor making sure you and your family are being taken care of. Lord willing I'm not buying or selling any time soon but if I do I am giving her a call.
Brenda is a wonderful realtor. She worked extremely hard at helping us find and buy our house in 2012. Her work ethic and determination to find the perfect match is amazing. Brenda worked as my buyer's agent in early 2015. She was ALWAYS available to answer questions or concerns and was absolutely delightful to work with. I had 58 days to be out of the house is was renting and was going to use my VA Loan to purchase a house . Brend did the impossible and within 7 days I found a house and put in a bid that was excepted . She is Amazing and I highly recommend her to anyone and everyone . She walked us thru this trying time with ease and assurance . Brenda Carter is by far the Best in the Business especially when handed a challenge .
We do not recommend Brenda Carter sell your home. We question her marketing strategy, pricing strategy and knowledge, and overall ability to sell homes. It took over 20 showings and a $10K price reduction to get one offer to sell our home. We could never get the answer as to why our home was not selling, even though all the comments were the home showed well, was priced well, and even had agent comments about why it had not sold, but she never did figure that out. She also didn't follow the Liz Moore strategy of staging consultation, appraisal, and home inspection, she said those were not necessary. In the end, all those would have helped in the beginning. During the negotiation, felt that she was on the side of the buyers, not asking what we wanted to get out of the sale. She was more concerned with making the sale, not acting on our behalf. She wanted to make the sale so much, she let an offer through with less than half the earnest money required by the listing she drafted, we had to call her on this. Besides the feeling of not acting on our behalf, she left our patio door unlocked for four days, came home to the unlocked door and she was the last one in the house. Had numerous showings that we were not told about until after they happened, in a few cases, several weeks after they happened and she knew about all of them. She opened and tested our sprinkler system for the buyers without our consent and then failed to have it winterized again, didn't even bother to ask us what we wanted done. Many times we had to pull showing feedback from her and didn't follow-up with promises like letting us know our deed was recorded at the country. Based on our experience, we truly felt that she just wanted the sale, with complete disregard to our bottom line and acting as our agent.
Ms. Carter sold a condo for us in Williamsburg. We live out of the area, and were incredibly appreciative of her expertise, responsiveness, and negotiation skills. She was fabulous! We highly recommend Ms. Carter!
