1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
The first step would be to seek out a professional to help educate you on the process and the market. There are a lot of misconceptions when it comes to purchasing and you should have the help of a trusted professional to guide you correctly.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Handle any repairs needed before coming on the market to maximize your bottom line. If unsure about what repairs add value then reach out to a Realtor and allow them to point you in the right direction. I also recommend getting an inspection and using that report as a to-do list. This really gives you insight into what issues could come up for any potential buyers.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
Clients from all walks of life, I have guided first-time home owners, helping them achieve a goal that they thought was not possible. And I have helped experienced sellers who were looking to find the perfect home for their current lifestyle.
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I met a couple at a housewarming party I put together for another client. They had been searching for their "forever home" for quite some time and had been outbid several times on homes they thought were the one. I was sympathetic to their situation knowing firsthand how stressed the market is for buyers. Assuring them that there was a way to get your offer accepted in this crazy market, they trusted me to get the job done. I was diligent in finding that home that would be the last home they ever purchased and persistent in the negotiations. It was beyond fulfilling to watch them sign at the closing table, knowing I had helped them achieve something they were sure wasn't possible.
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I chose Real Estate as a way to gain some freedom from the corporate world and have flexibility for my family. My children were small at the time and I was working almost 70 hr work weeks as a General Manager in the Customer Service industry. I was missing everything from school functions, to parties and get togethers. Once I made the decision to find something that would allow me to earn an income but still be there for my kids, real estate was right there waiting. I got into it for my family but I stayed for the countless families I have been able to help, finding joy in the service of others.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
Currently, I am a Certified Luxury Homes Marketing Specialist, which gives me the tools and insights needed to navigate the luxury market. I am always training and staying current on the market shifts and conditions and am planning on becoming a Broker in the very near future.
