Do not use this agent, ESPECIALLY if you are a first time home buyer. We initially liked her because she was willing to meet us after work and show us the homes that we were interested in. We stressed to her that we were first time home buyers and that we would need a lot of guidance. She seemed like she was knowledgeable about the Homewood market and area, but I don't believe she really has much experience at all. She was not on our side during the entire negotiation process. We would make an offer, the seller would counter and she would always push us into accepting the seller's offer, even if we wanted to counter offer again, or if we were not comfortable with what they offered. During the inspection period, we found multiple issues with the house and things that were out of code. She would say things like, "It's just a few more hundred dollars", "It's silly for the deal to fall through over this", or "it should be a simple fix" . Instead of advising that we get licensed professionals to give us estimates on the issues found by the inspector or making sure they had all utilities turned on so we could fully inspect the house so we could accurately negotiate a fair deal, she was only concerned with not postponing the closing date. The Home Buyer's Warranty that she claimed was such a great thing, has not helped us with any of the expenses . For example, we are going to have to spend thousands of dollars in order to make the electrical safe for us to use, although she claimed it should not be expensive to fix at all. We strongly feel that we were ill advised and misguided by Ashley and instead of this being an exciting time in our lives, it has turned a constant headache. It has been 3 weeks of meetings with licensed professionals almost every day to make this house safe and we're still not done. I would never recommend her or the Humphries group to anyone I know or care about. Do your research and get connected with someone that actually has experience in the area that you're looking at and don't fall for this like we did!

I had that poor girl showing me houses all over the place, but she always had a smile and great attitude. She was very helpful and knowledgeable. This is my first home and she made the process a breeze. I'm very satisfied with my home and her great service. I definitely recommend Ashley.
