April is the best property manager ive ever had ! , we had really bad luck with our previous landlord neglecting issues and we left after they went unresolved , april was fantastic helping us into a new home right away and on our own time , completley understanding of any challenges we had ! The team is full of great people ! They are really kind and work hard ! April is fair and works with you , i actualy feel like a human being rather than a number when i talk with this managment team and that goes a long way ! If you need a managment team you can count on be it for a place to rent or to find a renter , even to help you make a sale on some property april and her team are friendly , experienced and will help you ! She helped me better understand tenant rights and how the housing works in south carolina , i am not from here so it was confusing but she helped me in many ways and works with my family when life happens and its hard to find good people like that these days ! Thank you for everything !

We used Real Estate Market Place as our property management company the last few years. We started out doing a long term rental on our property, and the service was good with that option. Responsiveness was slow (we usually had to follow up once or twice to hear back), but overall, they did a good job managing the property. We put the property on the market to sell mid last year and decided to short term rent it late last year. With the short term rental process, we were very disappointed with the service provided. Responsiveness was a huge issue. We requested the home be taken off the market because we decided not to sell right now, and it took 3 times of asking to unlist it before it was removed. We also were shocked with the charges for the short term rental process. Our contract stated anything over $100 needed approval, but there were several times where funds were spent without asking us, whether it be for supplies or maintenance/repairs. The accounting process for the short term process was also all over the place and difficult to follow. Overall, we would not recommend this company for short term rental management.

It started when Aprils company took over the duplex where I lived. I did not get notice of the change so I paid my rent as always. I found out later that Real Estate Market Place took over. I went in to meet her and she insisted that I pay her also for that month. Fast forward a few months April put an eviction notice on my door on the 4th of the month and locked me out of the portal so that I could not pay the rent. Long story short. I had to pay the rent plus extra charges even though the lease says I had until the 5th to pay. To make matters worse I also mailed in the rent payment as I did not know how else to pay before court date. She lied to the court and did not acknowledge the payment I mailed to her. So I ended up paying rent twice that month plus fees. I never got credit for the overpayment returned and I have an eviction on my record so I cant move as others will not rent to me. Trust me this isnt half of what I have endured since Aprils management company has taken over. Trust me she is wicked, do not deal with her unless there is no way around it. Rude and unprofessional.

I recently engaged with Real Estate Marketplace while searching for my sons first apartment and, unfortunately, our experience was far from satisfactory. Initially, we were quoted a rent of $750, but received an email that, the price was increased to $795 and we were then informed after paying the application fee that someone was actually still living there. Throughout the process, the communication was inconsistent and unreliable. We were set back several times by delays due to the apartment not being ready for viewing. When we finally saw the apartment, it was in disarray with significant cleanliness and maintenance issues, including bug problems and plumbing concerns. Despite reassurances and multiple delays, the apartment remained in an unlivable condition, far past the agreed move-in date. The staff, particularly April, displayed a lack of professionalism during our interaction. When attempting to resolve these issues and recover our deposit, I was met with rudeness and unprofessional behavior that escalated unnecessarily. While the staff at Real Estate Marketplace, particularly Josh and Tiffany initially seemed helpful, the management and resolution process was handled poorly. April, who I later found out was the owner, was particularly difficult, creating an uncomfortable and hostile environment during our final meeting. April did return the deposit to my son. I am disheartened by the lack of professionalism and the stressful experience we had with Real Estate Marketplace. I decided to take my business elsewhere, to a place where my son and I could find a livable apartment managed by those who value their tenants and operate professionally.
