Unfortunately, we had a lack luster experience with Ryanne as our landlord during our 3 year tenancy in one of her properties in S. Austin (3105 Lynnbrook Dr). Every other week we had the home professionally cleaned and pest control came out monthly. During our tenancy, we requested things like the air vents be checked because there was mold coming from the sides of them. Or, we requested the air vents be cleaned - to which she declined. The upstairs ac didnt work well and during the hot summer months the temperature during the day would never get below 82 degrees. About a week prior to our last day in the property, Ryanne and her boyfriend walked the home with me and she said it had been years since she'd been there (she thought we were the previous tenants who lived there). She commented on how every room looked so nice and offered to buy pieces of my furniture. Now that we have moved out, she's decided to withhold our entire security deposit for things like paint and to repair a light fixture.

Bottom line: I trust Matt implicitly and can't recommend him more highly. Matt has helped us as buyers for both our primary residence and to secure investment property. He's also listed and sourced tenants for that property. He's second to none on real estate knowledge: when we ask about an area, an opportunity, or bring him (yet another) question about the in's and out's of how things work or what we can expect, he comes ready with the information, data, and qualitative insights we need to feel confident. Above and beyond that, he has a wealth of resources from maintenance vendors, to lenders, and legal teams that have helped us round out the "team" it takes. Aside from being a great agent, Matt's a really personable guy so he's able to work with a variety of customers and clients, make people feel comfortable, and make a complicated and sometimes emotional process feel great.

Matt did an excellent job on assisting me buying my first house. I met Matt in an open house. Although I didn't get that house, I felt lucky I met Matt. Through a brief conversation, I noticed Matt was the type of realtors I was looking for. He is just like me, a number guy and very analytical. This made us "a good team" on home buying, and eventually made me go thought the whole process smoothly. Matt was very good at listening client's specific requirements and expectations about his/her home. He took a lot of notes and he surprised me how great memory he got. Later, for each house I was interested in, he could evaluate its pros and cons based on my specific requirements and gave me his professional insights and suggestions, which I really appreciated. This was very helpful for me to gradually decide my house candidates. Moreover, Matt is also very resourceful and always answered my questions promptly. This alleviated a lot of my pressure since I was a first-timer. Additionally, Matt was patient when he took me to the house tours. He always encouraged me to spend time on looking, asking questions, and see more houses before making a decision. I would like to work with Matt for future realty things.
