But I am not new to the real estate industry. Prior to becoming an agent, I had over 11 years experience in real estate, as both a mortgage loan originator and a title agent. This background differentiates me from most other agents, because I do see and understand all facets of the transaction. I have taken loan applications for first-time home buyers and know their fears and frustrations. I have gone over closing documents with seasoned investors who just wanted the highlights explained. This experience makes me a better agent to YOU, whether you are buying that first home or looking for your retirement home. 1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
Talk to a lender about your options BEFORE going out with an agent to view homes. Once you are under contract, DO NOT do anything that will affect your ability to get your mortgage.
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Take the time to prepare your home for sale. Make those minor repairs that have been on your honey-do list for ages. Walk through your home and look at it as if you were a buyer; de-clutter and de-personalize the home so it appeals to more people.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
First Time Home Buyers, Investors, Retirees, Luxury Owners, Lake Property Buyers and Sellers, Move Up Buyers
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I met with a couple who had just purchased their home about 18 months ago in hopes of living out their retirement years there. However due to some family issues across the country, they were forced to sell. They were worried the home would sit on the market and they wouldn't be able to sell it in a timely manner. The house had a spectacular view of the lake and mountains. Within 24 hours of going on the market, we received a full price cash offer and the sellers were ecstatic!
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
After working for 11+ years in both mortgages and the title industry, Real Estate was a natural progression. I worked as the Office Admin in a real estate office and attended real estate school online in the evenings. I was licensed in May 2012 and began selling real estate full time in July of the same year.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I have invested the time to receive the SRS( Sellers Representative Specialist), RSPS (Resort & Second Home Property Specialist), and GRI (Graduate of the REALTOR® Institute) designations, as well as the RENE (Real Estate Negotiation Expert) certification.
