About Alison Cox

Alison Cox grew up in Lynchburg, VA and graduated from Longwood College in 1995. She received a degree in Mathematics and Secondary Education and pursued a career in teaching. She married an Infantry Officer who brought her to Fort Benning for their first assignment. After a few more duty stations and deployments, two beautiful children joined them. In 2004 Fort Benning became home again; then Fort Leavenworth, KS; and on to Fort Campbell, KY where she continued her teaching career. Always feeling that something was missing, Alison began to think in terms of sales. After continued thought, Alison decided to make a career change and move away from teaching. She became licensed in real estate in TN where she sold over 2.5 million her first year. Sadly, duty called for her husband and they moved to Arlington, VA where once again she became a teacher. After three years in VA, her husband was honored to be selected as the Fort Benning Garrison Commander, so Alison and her family happily returned. As they say, the third time is the charm. Having made many great memories in Columbus, they've decided to transition from military service and make Columbus home for their next life chapter. Between working and being a mom to two teenagers with active lives in soccer and cheer, Alison likes to stay in shape by attending CrossFit classes. She is excited to return to real estate and once again deliver top-notch service while developing lasting relationships in the Columbus, GA area.
