When we decided to sell our home we interviewed several realtors, and chose Alison Andrea to represent us.During our first meeting, Alison came across as a no-nonsense kind of person who listened and did not in any way couch her responses to our questions. Then she said something that no one else had, and that was that we needed to move out of our house quickly, get it ready for sale and get it on the market ASAP, as the housing market was changing, and moving from being a sellers market to being a buyers market, and then she went on to tell us why we needed to do what none of the other brokers had even hinted at. We had just met and now she was telling us to turn our lives upside down and move quickly. We thanked her for her time, and said we would get back to her. And we did.We decided to put our future in her hands, as the receipts from the sale of our home would need to last us the rest of our lives.We managed, in one month, to make arrangements for selling and donating furniture and household items, arranging for the move to our future home, almost 300 miles away. Through all of this, Alison was the consummate professional and she proved it every day. Her market comps dictated the listing price, her comments on what we needed to do to the house were clear and concise, and we followed her advice. She even met with our gardener/handyman to handle some small and not-so-small details before we left.We moved out of our home on Friday, July 8th. Alison had arranged for the painters to start the next day. They were followed by deep cleaners, window washers, house power washers, the stager and the photographer. Very quickly all the work was done, the house looked fantastic and was listed. The people she used all did an absolutely phenomenal job. A full-price offer was accepted within two weeks.I cannot possibly list everything she handled for us, other than to say that she managed everything and kept us up to date, communicating with us as needed by phone.Yes, there are a lot of real estate agents/brokers out there but in our opinion, Alison Andrea certainly merits your interviewing her when you need a realtor.She is smart and follows the real estate market data closely, not just what has sold recently and what is listed, but what is likely to happen.She is the only who told us that the Fed was expected to raise rates very soon and that would affect mortgage rates and the sale of our home. She was right.Yes, you could use some other agent to list your home, but why take the chance.
