TL;DR: I couldnt be more impressed with Shawn LaDouceur! Absolutely recommend, especially for first time buyers like myself.As a first time home buyer during a time of incredible demand in Florida, I had so much stress when it came to finding and buying the right home for me. I also had no good endorsements on realtors in my local area, and as with anything I do, I much prefer working with someone who comes highly recommended and is a known quantity. If anyone finds themselves in a similar boat as me, let this be Shawns glowing endorsement for you. He exceeded all my expectations, and I cant thank him enough for all his efforts in finding my new home and making it mine. There was still stress, of course, but he mitigated all my concerns to a far more manageable level, while maintaining an incredible patience with meaEUR| which my friends tell me is no small task :)I met Shawn at my first home showing a few months before I was really ready to purchase a home. Hes a relatable, down to earth family man, and I left that day with his card and him thinking it was probably the last time hed ever hear from me. As it turns out, a month or two later, I reached back out to Shawn not knowing where else to start and we picked right back up where we left off. He seemed to know my list of demands better than I knew them myself. And with that he went on the hunt. The home market in Florida was so hot at the time, but especially so for homes near the beach with enclosed pools (and my litany of other demands). Buying in this atmosphere required someone with expert knowledge of the area to have their finger on the pulse of the real estate market, and Shawn was absolutely that guy. On more than one instance, Shawn would have me walking through a beautiful home that had been listed for sale just hours earlier. It was crazy to me that it would take that kind of approach in order to buy what I wanted, but not to Shawn, and he went on to aggressively seek out the home I ended up buying. Once we found the house, Shawn helped me put together a fair and competitive offer in record time, and was ultimately accepted. I was amazed with how fast the process went from there. I was traveling, working at my full time job, while he coordinated all the pre-purchase activities and directed the necessary repairs. All the while, Shawn was never out of reach. Any questions I had got asked an answered swiftly. The rest of the purchase process proceeded without a single hiccup and to that I owe In large part to Shawn LaDouceur! I cannot recommend him highly enough!

I couldn't be more pleased with not just the awesome agent, but awesome person Shawn is! He understood that me and my father were new home buyers and had a unique situation, and he was so compassionate and went above and beyond anywhere he could! Whether it was needing to look at a ton of stuff really quick, or driving me around because i got a flat tire on the way to look at houses, he was almost always available to answer questions and help us to understand the process. He also made sure to select properties he knew were what we needed, having a father in a wheelchair that wasn't always easy, and was always looking out for things wrong with the houses that we might not have thought about otherwise that might give us trouble when purchasing. Overall, I am so thankful for Veterans United finding these guys for us and helping to make an otherwise VERY OVERWHELMING experience a little less daunting!! Thank you for your patience and determination Shawn, to find our home sweet home that we are beyond stoked to be in!!
