About Alex King

A real estate professional since 2011 and a third-generation Southwest Florida (SWFL) resident, Alex King knows everything there is to know about SWFL's market and lifestyle. I recently helped my mom navigate a condo purchase on Fort Myers Beach, and her agent Glenroy Huggins was absolutely FANTASTIC. Now retired, my mom was a realtor for over 25 years. So, needless to say, she has very strong opinions and high expectations on what it means to be a great agent. To put it succinctly, on many occasions she?s referred to Glen as a ?Godsend.? My mom met Glen simply by inquiring on a listing of his. She is hard of hearing and thus communicates largely via text ? which, understandably, I think, leads most agents with whom she interacts to assume she?s not seriously in the market. From Day 1, Glen was helpful, friendly and (most appreciated by my mom) responsive. With the ongoing rebuild around FMB post-Hurricane Ian, many unknowns remain. New and changing condo boards, management companies, ongoing construction efforts, TBD special assessments, increasing insurance costs, etc. etc. My mom and I peppered Glen with questions and follow-ups almost daily, and he always responded with a smile and dogged determination to get us an answer ? no matter how many calls, emails, texts it took to get to the bottom of seemingly answerless questions. We eventually went under contract on a unit with a quick 30 day close. My mom and I are certain we would not have come to terms with the seller without Glen at the helm of the ultimately successful negotiation. At times, we were seemingly far off from seller?s expectations, yet somehow Glen was able to bridge the gap. And, looking back, I cannot believe Glen was able to successfully allay all our concerns and tie up so many loose ends in that short time to get us through a successful close [anyone who?s navigated a deal on FMB in the current environment knows what a remarkable feat that is]. So what makes Glen such a great agent? Well, first, he?s just got the energy to get the job done. One of those guys who?s up at 6am, not down till midnight, and willing to put in the legwork at any point in between. But, just as important, he?s got the perfect personality for the job. In this environment, you have to be equal parts realtor and therapist. And Glen?s temperament is just what the doctor ordered. Always calm, collected, proactive and pragmatic. A good listener, a calming presence, and an active force to keep moving the ball forward?and, ultimately, across the finish line. Glen exhibited the patience of a saint! Needless to say, ours was a five-star experience through-and-through!

When we decided to sell our property in Ft. Myers Beach, I did my homework before choosing a realtor. Alex was really the only choice. His reputation and expertise was exactly as advertised.
