Albert Benkert

Hi: Al is the owner and broker of Vero Beachside Sales-Rentals, a Boutique real estate company serving both the Barrier Island and mainland. He is an ex-marine, a mellowed New Yorker?, an E-Pro, a designated Short Sale and Foreclosure resource and a Luxury Home Specialist. Al offers a full range of Real Estate services for buyers, sellers, renters and investors. He specializes in being your Real Estate Consultant, helping you sell, rent or buy at the best possible price for you. He frequently lists properties for sale or rent and lets the client pick the offer that best matches their needs. In the Property Management area, he specializes in supporting out of town investors and providing newly arrived tenants with weekly, seasonal or yearly rentals. Prior to his real estate career, following his service as a Marine in Vietnam and graduating from college, Al served as a corporate executive with such Fortune 500 companies as IBM, Roadway, Ryder and Freightliner Corporation. As a Realtor he has been a long standing member of the key MLS and Government Affairs Committees. He has also served on the MLS Rental and MLS Forms task forces as well as numerous candidate screening committees and the Short Sales/Foreclosure committee. He has headed up successful task forces dealing with streamlining county procedures for closing open building permits and having utilities turned on for inspections of foreclosed and short sale properties. In his role as President of the Oceanside Business Association, Al has been instrumental in having the weekly beachside farmers market and monthly Sunset Saturday concerts continue through the off season summer months. In addition, he led the effort to insure the continuation of the annual Oceanside Christmas parade. He was a leading proponent and supporter of both the Oceanpark Development and the improvements to Humiston Park and Sexton Plaza. He also took the lead in the successful effort to have beach based shark fishing and chumming stopped on the beaches in the City of Vero Beach. Al recently ran for the Vero Beach City Council on a program recommending negotiating with FP&L for an offer and evaluating it and all other opportunities prior to making a commitment to sell the city electric utilities without due diligence. For vacations Al spends his time as a member of Tony Robbins senior leadership group coaching and volunteering at seminars around the world.
