Ahmad could not have been a better realtor for us, as both buyers and sellers! My wife and I had recently been through the ringer when we met Ahmad. Our first home was largely destroyed in a tornado in March of 2021. We were staying in a rental house while it was being repaired, but due to delays from red tape and materials/labor shortages, it became clear we would have to buy a new home or risk losing our rental before our old home was finished. So we started looking, and my wife met Ahmad at an open house. We wanted to make our new home the place we already hoped to upgrade to soon, instead of a like-for-like replacement of our old house, which we purchased as newlyweds over a decade ago. But without having sold it yet, and many moving pieces involved between insurance and a frothy market, this was a challenge. Nonetheless, Ahmad helped us find our dream home, and buy it within our budget. He never pushed us to swing higher or take something that didn't feel right, and even talked us down when we considered houses that were financially overreaching. Others might have pushed us to spend more, taking out a larger loan, to maximize their own commission. But through the entire process, Ahmad became a friend who was helping us find our home, not just a realtor trying to get us to buy a house as quickly as possible. In the end, he even negotiated our buying price down to below asking. After the sale, he followed up and made sure we were settling well. There were surprises in our new home that constituted new challenges and frustrations, and he wanted to know about all of it, and offered advice and suggestions wherever possible. Then, he helped us to stay on top of seeing our old home's repairs to completion, and walked us through the transition to sellers. He remained conscientious of market movement and worked day and night, and on weekends, to get our house sold within days of listing, and at above asking.
