1) What advice would you give a buyer trying to purchase a home?
The best advice would to be prequalified first. Our market is as hot as it has been since I have been in the business (20 years+), so a buyer if they find a home they love must be able to act right away. And the best way for that to happen is already be prequalified for a loan, or better yet approved. We work with several lenders that make this process easy and can close as soon as 17 days from time the contract is accepted. This is because they do their homework up front and get their buyers approved. When approved, you can make a much stronger offer than anyone else!
2) What advice would you give a seller trying to sell their home?
Marketing is the biggest thing by far! Don't go with the person that is offering you less commission, because what are they going to do for your equity? They won't have the will to fight for the highest price. When marketing you want to make sure the agent has a comprehensive plan to put your home in front of as many eyeballs as possible. The more demand they can create on your home the higher the price.
3) What types of clients have you worked with?
We work with all types of clients from first time home buyers, to move up buyers, obviously sellers as well as investors and renters. We are a full service brokerage who cares about the customer experience! Customer service is expected, and usually neglected, but when you focus on the experience everyone in the transaction feels important, because they are!
4) Describe a recent transaction you are fond of. How did it go?
I sell over 200 homes a year, but treat every transaction as it's own entity. In order to do that business we have a unique team model, systems driven, and customer experience oriented!
5) How did you get started in Real Estate?
I bought my first home and loved the process. From there I got my license while I was still teaching and coaching at a local high school. While doing real estate part time I was named rookie of the year for my brokerage. I found something I was great at, so I went full time in January of 2003, and have sold over 3,000 homes since then.
6) Do you have any special education or training that will benefit your clients?
I have a college degree in marketing, but more importantly I am constantly learning from industry experts around the country. I am in 2 coaching programs, one where I serve as a coach and mentor for other agents across the country. There is no better way to learn than to coach and teach!
