Yes but you get what you pay for. Some companies wont allow their agents to negotiate commissions. I changed companies so I could have a little wiggle room.

Usually 6% for a top realtor who will make you more money even after fees. There are a few out there that go cheaper but at the end of the day you get what you pay for. There is a lot that goes in to selling your home for the maximium amount. I reccomend interviewing agents and finding out which one can help you the best,

yes-- sometimes --it depends. All of this just depends on WHO the Realtor and Co is. Keep in mind you always get what you pay for.

In short, yes. Most brokerages may have a range of what their agents can charge. There are strict laws prohibiting "price fixing" for commissions, this allows and encourages agents to offer fees based on the value they provide. You should never hear "always" or "usually" when discussing commission with an agent.

I would also ask about what fees on top of commission are involved. Some charge a lower percentage and it looks good, but have added fees, no professional photography included, etc.

You recommended one realtor.  Harrisburg is a big area so I would like to have 2-4 to choose from.  Thanks.
