Is there any way I can get an appraisal on my home ?
I need to relocate to help my elderly mother and to be near family ,and I would like an appraisal on my home and possibly know the value of it so when I go to sell it I will know how much I will get for it.

Joan, We are in a very fast changing market. If you get an appraisal done the value could change substantially just within a couple of months. Your best option would be to find a real estate agent within that area that does a good amount of business and is very good determining property values at the time you are looking to sell.
